      Carolina Ophthalmology was founded in 1980 and since that time has grown to become one of the foremost ophthalmic centers in the country with offices located in Hendersonville, Asheville, Columbus, and satellite locations in Franklin and Spruce Pine, NC. Collectively, our doctors have over eighty (80) years of experience serving the people of Western North Carolina, only one of the many reasons why people choose the "Carolina Ophthalmology Advantage."All of our facilities house the latest state-of-the-art equipment available today including lasers, ultrasounds, and computer enhanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. Carolina Ophthalmology offers the most technically advanced eye care available including Laser Cataract Surgery, Small Incision No-Stitch Cataract surgery (offering the newest premium lens implants), Glaucoma Services, Retina Services, Corneal Services, and the post-operative management of LASIK patients. In 2008, Carolina Skin and Laser, a division of Carolina Ophthalmology, was formed due to the exponential growth of our cosmetic laser and surgical services program. Through this new division, we continue to offer Laser Corrective and Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery, Laser Facial Rejuvenation, BOTOXand Dysport and a variety of other cosmetic and beauty services.We perform outpatient eye surgery at four separate hospital outpatient surgery centers located throughout western North Carolina, including Pardee Hospital, Park Ridge Health, and Asheville Surgery Center at Mission Hospital. We also operate the Mitchell-Yancey Cataract Center jointly with Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, located in Spruce Pine, NC. We maintain in-house surgical suites where many minor procedures are performed right in our office. Our centers are staffed by more than fifty highly trained professionals.
