Established in 1973, New North Citizens' Council provides advocacy, social and human services to the residents of Hampden County, Mass. Its housing program provides assistance to families in need of housing services, including first-time homebuyers' workshops and homeless prevention services. The organization s young parents support program provides pregnant and parenting youths with home-based parent support programs and case management, prenatal and parenting education, child abuse prevention, and information and referral services. It also offers individual assessment and planning and case management services. In addition, it offers child care, family support, transportation, health and nutrition counseling, family planning and parenting education services. The organization also assists families where a member has a developmental disability.
