The practice of chiropractic is truely based on health and prevention with an emphasis on function of the body and not simply relief of symptoms. The focus of chiropractic is on the spine and nervous system. The close relationship of the nervous system to the bones and muscles of the spine allows the nervous system to be affected by moving the bones and adjusting the spine. Chiropractic treatment often consists of a chiropractic adjustment where the doctor uses his or her hands to make a quick, specific and gentle adjustment to realign the bones of the spine, allowing the nervous system to function better and improving function of the entire body. Chiropractic care has been found to have a positive effect on many conditions including: Neck pain, Low back pain, Headaches, Vertigo, Migraines, ADD/ADHD, Asthma, Colic, and Chronic ear infections.
