She started her post-graduate education at Exempla St Joseph Medical Center in Denver, Colorado as a general surgery resident. She then went on to complete her training in southeast Michigan through the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine for both her General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery programs.
