We passed through Sioux City on vacation, and ate here.The food was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked and utterly delicious. We arrived at the restaurant very late, and it was obvious the the staff were looking forward to going home, and were disappointed that we showed up, but the service was still first class, very friendly and knowledgable. The food was some of the best mexican that I have ever eaten, none of us had any complaints at all, and the prices were outstanding. If you are passing through Sioux City, or if you live there but have never tried El Tapatio, DO NOT PASS THIS ONE UP!!!

this is the BEST mexican restaurant that i have ever been to. if u come with an empty nd unsatisfied stomach u will leave with a full and satisfied stomach. they have great service and the best food. the person who gives you the chips and salsa is fast...oh i work there so i recommend it!!! :) this is from alexis fernandez

The food was great the help was superb! The prices are very reasonable and I plan on making this place our family out night location.. I recommend Having there fried Ice Creme, My daughters ordered there own, They are very large, So kids shared, and wife and I shared.. Great Resturant Pleasant Atmosphere Great Service Perfect Location... Across the street from Gordon Dr Hi-Vee.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area, without question. Also, it is the overall best moderately priced restaurant in Sioux City. Dinner w/o drinks for two would be about 20 dollars, although the Margaritas are cheap, strong, and huge. Very authentic as far as Americanized Mexican food can be, and amazingly delicious. Free chips and salsa, unlike other places in town that charge for them! Go eat here once and you will love it, no matter what you order. I live in Morningside near here and am desperate for people to go here because I love it so much and don't want it ever to close.
