General Info

Our practice is a state-of-the-art audiology center located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Our private practice is known for reliable service and affordable pricing, as well as a relaxed setting that is pleasant to spend time in. Our staff believes in appropriate hearing and amplification services for every hearing impairment or financial situation. Providing all levels of technology to the people of the Wyoming Valley and surrounding area is our responsibility. Providing education about the detrimental effects of noise exposure to your hearing is a big part of what we do. We also counsel individuals on the proper use and care of hearing protection devices. Unlike eye glasses, hearing aids can't be prescribed in the same manner and require extreme skill and judgment on the part of the professional who conducts the testing. From testing to the selection of the hearing instrument that best suits your needs, we'll be there. Come in today to get a relaxed office where everyone is willing to take the time to make your experience a fruitful one. Frank Baur is a licensed audiologist in the state of Pennsylvania. Frank received his Au.D. (Doctorate of Audiology) degree from Bloomsburg University. He also earned an AB degree in Music from Lafayette College in Easton, PA in 1990. He is a 1985 post-graduate of Wyoming Seminary and a 1984 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. Frank is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology (PAA), and a fellow with the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). He has published articles in The Hearing Review regarding excessive noise exposure and was honored at the American Academy of Audiology's 2008 conference in Dallas, TX as a Student Research Forum Winner. The February, 2008 articles were named to The Hearing Reviews Top Ten Best Article Submissions of 2008.
