ok so the food is good (not outrageouly great but good). The price you pay for what you get is outstanding. I mean $10.95 for all you can eat catfish and shrimp is cheap if you ask me. The hush puppies were incredible. We had to wait on them as they were cooking them ffesh but it was worth it. My friend got the grilled tilapia and it was in a word "INCREDIBLE". I think I will get that the next time I go. The atmosphere was so quaint but a little too dark. And our server was just the nicest woman ever. I think her name was Sandy. She was prompt to get what we needed and was always smiling. Anyway if you ever find yourself going through Saraland, AL you should definitely stop by.

Loved the food and the service! Catfish filets were small but they explained that they get the smaller filets for the quick cook time and the "not so fishy" flavor you tend to get from an older fish. Besides, when you can get "all you can eat" for $10.95-who cares how small! And the hushpuppies-simply the best-anywhere. When i was there the health rating was a 94 and apparently the restrooms had received the attention they needed. After reading the other readers review I was skeptical but all of the locals kept insisting that I go and they were right. Great food, good prices and wonderful service!

I went here with high expectations as locals said it was very good. The catfish fillets were quite small, and very overloaded with grease. The catfish batter simply was similar to sandy dirt in texture, and had virtually no taste. The sweet tea was average but nothing that impressive. The hush puppies as the appetizer were good but relied too much on the cheese sauce to make a unique flavor rather than eating them separately. The "homemade" banana pudding was food service type banana flavored pudding with thrown in wafers and bananas..making it obvious it was not actually home made.The layout was standard and the aesthetics were average with the pond out back. The men's restroom was in deplorable condition and looked in major need of a massive renovation with the smell of urine very strong. Health rating was 90 when visited. Would not recommend nor will return ever again. Rating 1-10 on Food: 2 Service: 3, Atmosphere: 4 Cleanliness: 1Final judgement: Huge letdown.
