DO NOT GO HERE! I got the worst haircut of my life at this salon, from the owner! Every 2-3 years, I grow my hair out long and then donate the length. I've done this 5 times now. Every time, I get an A-Line cut. I am pretty easy to please when it comes to my hair--I've done this at beauty schools and high-price salons, and I've never so much as made a complaint about any haircut until now. 1) The salon was obviously overbooked. I had called ahead for an appointment, but it was crowded in there. I asked if they had time for me, and the owner told me she'd be right with me. 2) When she went to cut my hair, she said it needed to be shorter than I had anticipated. I was confused, since I've had approximately the same amount cut off every time, but I agreed to have her cut 10" of my hair. She cut off over 12" braided (which makes the hair appear shorter), not including about a half inch at the end. 3) She rushed through my haircut in about 5 minutes. I was in shock when she said she'd meet me at the register. She didn't ask me where I part my hair, but I thought she'd parted it where it was parted when I came in. She didn't even hand me a mirror to look at the back! As she was walking to the front, she called out to another customer to sit in the chair! 4) I thought maybe it would be OK once it dried (since she left it completely wet). When it dried, it was HORRIBLE. This is, no joke, the single ugliest haircut I ever had, EVER. It wasn't an A-Line--it was an ugly-as-sin bob with uneven, crooked, chunky layers. 5) And she didn't even untuck the hair behind my ears!! So, there were these two ugly pieces of hair on either side of my face that were about inch longer than all the other hair!6) I went back to the salon to confront her about this ugly, ugly haircut. She was working on another customer and didn't even have the decency to either wait to talk to me until she was through or ask her current customer to wait. She just kept chopping at her hair and asking me what I wanted!!7) She actually said these exact words: "A-Line cuts are never parted anywhere but the middle. You can't cut an A-line cut with a side-part." What an idiot! I've had this same cut many times, and I have NEVER heard a hairdresser say that!!8) She said the hair she cut was just 10 inches... As she guesstimated with a 6" comb! If the hair had been unbraided, it would have been 13+ inches! Locks of Love counts the length from the LONGEST layer, not the shortest, which is what she assumed.9) She told me to "wait" for her to finish working on the poor woman she was working on and then she'd "fix" my hair. My response: What makes you think I'd let you lay another finger on my hair?? I didn't want it botched any worse!!10) She gave me back my money, after ten minutes of arguing, during which she said the cut was "great," denied not untucking the hair behind my ears (when I showed her the pieces that were longer, she said, "No they're not"--they were, as verified by the hairdresser who fixed my hair), and said she cut the right amount. After this, I felt self-conscious going in public. It was THAT bad! This is coming from a woman who doesn't even own a curling iron. It looked so awful and uneven. And I was super upset because I worried that the chunky, ugly, uneven, mismatched layers wouldn't grow out before I graduate in June. I went to a place in Riverside. The woman who looked at my hair verified the screw-ups that jerk made to the cut. Her exact words were, "You can't rush a cut like this. You have to take the time to make sure everything's even." She fixed the layers, evened out the back, and got the cut so it looks presentable. I'll be going back to her just prior to graduation to get one last cut to even it out and make it a true A-line, since there are still all these layers (that the new hairdresser fixed and evened out) left over from the first lady cutting it wrong. BEWARE this hairdresser! I don't know where the hell she went t
