- Whitmore Library, founded in 1974, offers access to a variety of educational and recreational resources. It provides reference materials on several disciplines, including law, literature, business, medicine, fine arts, sports, history, geography, economics and technology. The library offers resources in the form of books, magazines, maps, pamphlets, video tapes, CD s and DVD s. It also provides book mailing services for home-bound individuals. Additionally, the library organizes a range of recreational events that includes magic shows, musical concerts and storytelling competitions. Whitmore Library also offers a meeting room for organizing public meetings of more than 70 persons. The library is a part of the Salt Lake County Library System and is located in Salt Lake City.
