General Info
The mission of St. Louis Hillel at Washington University is to enrich the lives of Jewish undergraduate and graduate students in St. Louis so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. St. Louis Hillel seeks to enrich the lives of Jewish undergraduate and graduate students, so that they are able to enrich the Jewish people in the world. The St. Louis Hillel is committed to enabling the more than 2, 000 Jewish undergraduate and graduate students we serve to do Jewish. Hillel is not a building, a synagogue, or a youth group. Our programming reflects the interests of students, and consequently evolved as students' interests change. While the Alvin and Jeanette Goldfarb Hillel building is on Washington University campus, Hillel programs reach students at all St. Louis area colleges and universities. Students will find Hillel in fraternity houses, dormitories, campus theaters, coffee shops and wherever students are active. Hillel's mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish undergraduate and graduate students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. Hillel provides a Jewish home away from home for college students. We offer Shabbat and holiday services and meals, spiritual, educational, social justice, and cultural programs, individual counseling, and lots of opportunities to simply hang out with other Jewish students. Welcome to St. Louis Hillel St. Louis Hillel is located across the street from the beautiful Danforth Campus of Washington University in St. Louis. Since our founding in 1946, we have played a critical role in enhancing the lives of thousands of students on campuses throughout St. Louis. We strive to inspire Jewish college students to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life. We do so by engaging them in diverse programs and meaningful Jewish experiences in the areas of Social Justice and Service, Religious Life, Israel, Jewish Culture and Education, and Leadership Development.
