I have been to Alejandro's a couple of times. Both times the service was not up to par; it was slow and the waitress was not tentative to our needs. You shouldn't have to approach the bar for something if you are being waited on and their are only three table in the entire restaurant. Staff seems far more interested in one another than their customers. The food is okay and a bit on the bland side and quite over priced.

Alejandro's is one of the best Mexican restaurants around! I love each and everyone of the dishes I've tried. The drinks are always tasty too! Like any restaurant, they may have experienced growing pains, but they know what they are doing and they do it well!

Just recently starting dining at Alejandro's...AWESOME EVERYTHING! I have had several dishes, all of them tasty and delish! Not greasy at all. The salsa is so good. They've been making it a bit spicy lately, which I love. The enchie's are great, but you must try the Shrimp cocktail. TO DIE FOR! The best I've ever had. The service is wonderful. I feel like family (I'm NOT) every time I'm there. Drinks are great and very strong. Can't beat this place, you must try again if you had a bad experience. - By the way, it's not really a Tex-Mex joint. More authentic mexican. So if you are looking for a Tex-Mex, go to El Chico. If you want great authentic Mexican at a great price, stop by Alejandro's in Rowlett!

Wow major mixed reviews. I have to say I love this place. I'm a salsa guy and their salsa is some of the best I've had. I've been there a few time and I order out mostly. Service is always good although I avoid rush hour. The prices are a little high but worth it.

This place was amazing. Guacamole was homemade with chunks of avocado. It was delicious. The salsa had an excellent unique smokey flavor. The enchiladas were incredible and the fajitas were amazing! Plus the margaritas were extra tasty. I would recommend Alejandro's to anyone and our family will definitely be going back.

Worst dining experience of my life. We were treated terrible and the food was bad. Enchiladas were greasy and the fajitas had no flavor. Won't go back and won't recommend.

A little different than your n...

A little different than your normal tex-mex. Bolder sauces (more of a chili powder flavor). Mexican potatoes instead of beans & rice with chicken. Good service.

I own a sports bar in Mesquite.I went to this place for the first time Saturday night.Food,Service and atmosphere is what this place is all about. It is nice to see a independent go in instead of a chain. These people are passionate about what they do.They will do well.

It seems to be the general consensus around town that Alejandro's is a bust.I went to Alejandro's recently out of curiosity and also found it to be very disappointing. The service is terrible and VERY unprofessional. The tables were so close together, we felt like a can of sardines. And on top of the food being overpriced, it was tasteless and greasy! After leaving, my family's clothes and hair reeked of oil and we had to bathe immediately. This is one place I will definitely tell people to stay away from!

Luv the fajita bites! The guacamole ranch dressing with the bites -- delish! Tortilla soup -- best we've ever eaten. And we eat out 24/7. Margaritas are excellent and served by a friendly bartender who made sure we had enough hot sauce and chips. The hot sauce is served warm and it is the best I have ever had. Sounds like the first couple of reviews were written by people who need to try out this excellent place one more time before making up their minds!

What a great restaurant that has just recently opened near the lake. A great place for a family and friends to go for excellent food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. The Food is absolutely delicious, Homemade Salsa, Chimichangas, and Fajitas are just the items i've had personnally on my visits, but i'm looking forward to visiting them again to try another entree on their menu!!!!!

Wow, I'm really shocked at the hostility of the previous reviews. Granted, there are growing pains as with any independent restaurant just starting up. I have been three times now and have gotten something different each time. I have to say the food experience has been very good. I had some guacamole last night and enjoyed it also. My favorites right now would be the fajita bites, the fajita nachos, the quesadillas and the hot sauce. I may not be a margarita expert, but I enjoyed them and certainly didn't find them tasteless. I will definitely be returning as I enjoy something a little different than your chain mexican restaurant.

I give this place a 1 star rating only because i had to give at least a 1. It deserves no stars at all, only a wrecking ball. I pass by this place everyday and see people going in and think, you poor, poor souls.First off, when we got there we were ignored. There was no hostess, only people who looked like they were employees. I say "looked like" because one girl was wearing a regular t-shirt and eventually got us to our table. But before that had happened, 2 guys came in and she started flirting with them and then sat them...BEFORE US.The place smelled like sewage and I wanted to vomit. Luckily I eventually had the smell of unseasoned beef before my face to mask the stench. I asked for some guacamole and had to pay extra for a bowl of something that resembled guacamole but certainly did not taste like it. But seriously, why the BEEP would you have to pay extra for guacamole with FAJITAS???????Save yourself some time, money, and chronic diarrhea. And please TELL YOUR FRIENDS!

I went twice to see if the first time was growing pains. Both times the margaritas had no flavor, neither did the food. Both times the orders were wrong. A manager came over, but the food was still on the bill. My son's (6yr old) kid nachos were served w/ jalapenos. He refused to eat them. So they brought him a sopapilla. Did not bring one for my 7 yr old daughter sitting right beside him, though. Not very smart. Then we were charged for a half order of nachos and a drink, instead of the kid's meal, drink included. NO BUENO.

One of the worst dining experiences of my life. No one knows what they're doing around there.$10.99 for veggie fajitas which only consist of 5 pieces of potato on some greasy onions. No zucchini, squash or mushrooms.Beef & Chicken fajitas are sold at the same price with a lot more meat than 5 pieces. Fajitas also do not come with rice, refried beans, guacamole, or cheese-the normal set up at a tex-mex restaurant. We also ordered tortilla soup, which they never brought to us.After the terrible experience, no manager visited our table and the fajitas which we never touched, were still on the bill. $34.00 for a meal and we had to turn around and go somewhere else to eat as soon as we left. These owners need a reality check and some organizational skills.
