Dirty. Wasn't worth it. I'm SHOCKED at how dirty it was. Nails turned out ok- nothing special. And the man who works there had some kind of horrible looking, OPEN, skin infection on his middle finger! He started doing my toes without any gloves and I promptly asked him to wear them. He did- but, I mean- really? Overall, it looks like this place hasn't been cleaned in 10 years- dust, dirt, etc. I will not be back. Not worth the risk!

More nail technicians than licenses, they are over worked, underpaid, and will be forced to work through their lunches. The place is dirty, nothing is cleaned or sanitized, chemicals are poured down the drain and not disposed of properly. Contracted a horrible fungus under 3 out of 10 nails I had done 2 weeks prior, I was told it was not from their services and told to leave. I will never go back there but that is OK, I was tired of being charged a different price every time I went as they would make it up as they went along.

You're better off doing your own nails!!! The owner berates you if you do not want a more expensive service (my instance, gel polish). Have multiple workers do your nails without an explanation. They do not fix any mistakes on the nails either.

Also - as my nails were drying, the first woman who was working on my nails asked if I wanted to pay. I assumed this meant I was finished, so I went to reach for my wallet and she told me she would get it. She pulled my wallet out, my debit card and everything!! I was able to watch her as she did this, but I was very uncomfortable with this. Go somewhere else!!

I am one angry livid customer. Zero rate for this disgusting place "0"!! This is the only salon that I ever went to for pedicures (also my nails) and I have contracted a terrible fungal infection causing severe stinging, burning and throbbing in my feet, sleepless nights, trips to several doctor appointments/hospitals to eventually determine the cause when finally a podiatrist (foot) physician took a culture of my toe nail to determine the illness. I was given a choice to take this awful medication for 3 months or the ointment for one year which is the protocol for treating fungal infections plus not to mention having blood drawn before, during and after this medication to check if my liver is strong enough to tolerate this toxic medication--which makes me feel sick. I chose the 3 month route of medication which are tablets rather than the one year ointment because I feel it is more effective because the ointment can rub off and my feet are still burning at almost the end of taking the 3 month medication. I am going to file a Complaint with the Board of Health and Department of Consumer Protection. When I called the Board of Health to report them and also inquire re: filing a Complaint, I was advised that there were previous Complaints filed against this place. The salon is dirty, over-crowded, not sanitized and the owner is very unprofessional, money hungry--stuffing cash in her either dog or cat apron and belittles her employees. This place should be closed down. I also agree with the previous comments made on this link wherein the small closet-like kitchen is used for other services plus you are passed around to more than one manicurist in order for the owner to take in more customers on your time even if you have an appointment. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this place for any services but rather find a reputable clean, sterile and professional salon. Needless to say, I am very livid and intend on taking the appropriate action needed to bring awareness on how this facility operates with an inspection of its unsanitary conditions. Beware, your health will be at risk if you continue going to this salon.

I've been to this store several times and love the work that they do there. The store has the cheapest prices to get nails and they do quality work.

Rachel is the only person I've ever had a good experience with there. She took her time and was attentive. The guy that works there does an AWFUL job, I would never recommend him. The use their bathroom as a kitchen, as others have mentioned. I'm not 100% sure whether or not they clean their tools, though I see that sometimes they put them in the little UV light box. What angered me the most about this place is that I got shellac and the next day it started chipping, but when I went to ask to get it fixed all they did was put a clear coat and tell me it was fine. This incident made me want to never go there again.

Disgusting nail store

Dirty, unsanitary money grubbing owner Julie. They don't sterile any manicure/pedicure tools. Gel colors are poor quality. Complained to Julie I picked a pick color but got orange she said there's no guarantee what color you will get. Stuffs cash in her apron doubt she pays taxes. UV lights r filthy. They use the bathroom as a kitchen. Board of health should shut them down. I doubt technicians are even licensed.

Nice but unsanitary

Julie was very nice. She took her time with my nails and the place was packed. However I didn't see them sanitize one tool or clean the pedicure tub between customers. Is it that hard to dip a nail clipper in that blue stuff or spray the tub? Also, obviously one of the "glowing" reviews was written by a worker of theirs. If you're gonna review your own place, have a fluent English speaking person proofread it first.

Told me 20 minute wait, it was over an hour, no seats to wait in. As soon as I sat down, the tech asked me to pay. Bad nail polish, mock of OPI called QRS, clumpy and didn't dry. My cuticles were covered in polish, I figured the technician would fix that, NOPE. I asked for black glitter, and what I got was a black nail polish, that had glitter in it over the messy pink. I told the tech it didn't look right and she didn't respond. I asked her to take it off, she refused and plainly said, "You can go now". ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

This is place does a wonderful...

This is place does a wonderful job, and I would always go to this nail salon because of their decent prices and do beautiful jobs. The workers there are very nice and friendly, although they have an accent they would always make you smile. It saves me a lot of money and at the same time making my nails look exactly the way i want them too. On special occasions, they put lots of details on your nails making it look very classy especially on a date or a very important interview. They are very busy, but will do everything they can to make their customers happy, even if it means to stay back late or juggling up to three people at once. In my opinion, these people here are like my friends, they are always there when i have a fashion crisis, and they remember my name. I don't notice anything bad about this nail salon, all i really just care about getting my nails looking wonderful.

I don't usually get my nails d...

I don't usually get my nails done at Walmart, but I thought I would give it a try. I had been to to location in Boonton once before a few years back and have an amazing experience. However my experience at the Rockaway location was much different. Although this nail salon has decent prices, my expierence there was certainly not worth 5 starts. It's normal to be rotated between 2 different manicurists, but here, I had at least 5 different people working on my nails. All of the employees were talking on their cell phones and not really paying attention to the clients. It's hard to understand what most nail salon employees are saying because of their accents, but they made no effort to even talk to me. I'm not picky about workplace apparel, but one manicurist had half of her buttocks hanging out of her jeans for most of the time I was there (mind you, she wasn't even doing someone's nails at the time.) To make matters worse, they have a bathroom/kitchen. I had to wash my hands after I have my nails done, and I walked in to find a revolting makeshift breakroom with food in piles, as if it had been there for weeks.

The main things you need to know about this nail salon are:

They have a limited nail polish selection

The facility is very dirty

The customer service is very bad

I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone.
