This IS a very good school. It came highly recommended from my nursing counselor. I attended during the summer for nursing credits. The entire staff was professional and fair. The unfortunate thing is that some people attend for the wrong reason and get put out(which they should). They are in to education. As long as your there for that they help you all the way. I have a hospital job in Blackstone because of them. As I read the bad reviews I can probably bet this came from someone who thought they could get away with doing nothing or they were disruptive and got put out the program. I did witness twice when students got put out, but they deserved it and once they were out of class we were more productive. These reviews are sounding like they are in the business of kicking people out and they are not, they are into education.

How can a program claim to train the best of the best when its director has no problem making a classroom of students cry by unjustly taking away their graduation? Go to the website. They only graduated some 5 people. 12 students were retaliated against in revenge by an immature and unprofessional Ms. Rivers. I should have gone with the Red Cross.

Do not go to this school. I recently was invited to a graduation that we were kicked out of and the police were called. That was no way to treat paying students.

It's funnny that there are positive reviews here. What the director does is bribe students to write reviews for free snacks. Pitiful. If they were honest, it would include the limited time students get to learn skills and if you struggle. .. tough.

Never in my life have I been treated so horribly. It's appalling. I went to see my cousin graduate and get thrown out of the school and the police called. The director has problems. I feel bad for any student that goes there.

This school is a joke. The only thing that seems to matter to Ms. Rivers at the end of the day is money. I feel bad for you if you actually need help or understanding in any way.She just might call the police on you for taking up too much of her time. Be careful.

On our day of graduation, my class was thrown from the property and the police called on us by the director as unjust retaliation for something that we had no part in. A cowardly act. I feel that the director, Mrs. Toni D. Rivers, RN, acted against my class in retaliation and vengeance which is unacceptable from anyone. Least of all a supposed professional expected to provide care to others. I am appalled and disappointed by her behavior and feel that my class has been grievously wronged by someone that should be the epitome of compassion and professionalism. Instead, she has shown herself to be spiteful, unprofessional, and filled with a spirit of retaliation. I endeavor to never take a class from this institution and will warn all that I know of this incident because I believe no one deserves to be treated as my class has been treated. You don't pay over 1,000 dollars to be excluded from your graduation, your certificate threatened to be held, and the police called on you.

I had to write review after reading the first one. I disagree STRONGLY about the instructors and the owner. Both instructors were VERY hands on with all of us and the owner; was very honest. I took the refresher course and of all the schools I called she was the only one who told me I did not need the entire course because I already took the course I just had a hard time passing my state boards. She only charged me for what I needed, all the other schools kept telling me I needed to pay for the whole course. I took my state boards last week and PASSED first try after taking the refresher course. I truly believe it was all because of the staff at Virginia schools for nurses aid. I'm going back for Med tech and cpr

Enjoyed every minute. I was very nervous at first because I am older and speak a different language but the teachers was really good, they helped me a lot. I am going back for another class and my friend taking class now.

This school was the WORST training and experience of my life!!! The instructor was VERY inactive. He read directly from the book and did not properly inform the students. Also, the owner is possibly the WORST person you could ever meet. She is an unstable "businesswoman" and only cares about a profit, not about her student's education. If you care about yourself at all do NOT attend this school. It will be a rob of your hard earned money!
