Dr Sandhu provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and Adolescents who are having difficulty with anger management and are having significant behavior and emotional difficulties at school and at home. His detailed assessment includes gathering all the needed information from parents, children, school teachers and other health care providers. He also uses various assessment scales to help formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan. Parents and educational setting are involved in treatment process. He also provides individual and family therapy as needed. Children who need medications are carefully assessed for need of medications and are followed up very closely. Dr Sandhu specializes in treatment of Children suffering from ADHD and co morbid disorders. ADHD causes significant disruption in education and social relationships of children and appropriate assessment and management can improve the outcome. There is also increased incidence of depression, anxiety and substance use disorders in children suffering from ADHD. Dr Sandhu also treats adults suffering from various emotional disorders that are causing significant disruption in their lives.
