My surgery went extremely well thanks to Dr. Chitkara. I can eat food normally without choking. He did a phenomenal job. I would
recommend him very highly.
Dr. Chitkara took the time to listen to my rather complex history. He did a very thorough exam and explained his findings. He made reasonable recommendations and set a follow up appointment for another issue.

Dr Chitkara was the best dr I had at ent associates. It means lot when a Dr actively listens and has the patients well being as top priority. I wish Dr Scarborough would Learn a thing or to from him. Dr chitkara is a very caring physician, he explains everything so it’s understandable. He doesn’t rush the patient out of the office , listens and answers all your questions. We come up with a game plan together.

- Ajay E. Chitkara, MD* graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1998 and completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Georgetown University Medical Center. He then trained in a Laryngology / Neurolaryngology Fellowship at the New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Blitzer.When he came to Long Island in 2004, he was the first fellowship trained laryngologist in the area. Since then, Dr. Chitkara has been offering advanced voice and swallowing care to people across this region. He also has experience in the use of botulinum toxin for treating movement disorders of the head and neck such as spasmodic dysphonia, hemifacial spasm and blepharospasm. Dr. Chitkara treats problems relating to general adult and pediatric otolaryngology. He remains active in specialty organizations and is currently the President of the Long Island Society of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
