Located in Pomona, Calif., Philadelphia Elementary School enrolls more than 970 students in grades kindergarten through six and offers a wide variety of academic and extracurricular activities. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, social studies, science, English, mathematics, foreign languages, reading, and physical and health education. The elementary school provides a variety of facilities and services, including a cafeteria, library, laboratories, playing fields, parking areas, transportation and lockers. It operates a school council that is comprised of parents and staff members and offers staff development programs. The elementary school also offers parent education programs in language arts, student assistance at home and parenting skills. The elementary school is operated by the Pomona Unified School District.
