Carman Shoe repair in Chestnut Hill is a LIAR and dishonest. I asked him how much does he charge to clean and shine my short boots? he gave me a price of $12.00. He told me to come back in three day. I was only here for a few days. Carman knew that I had to leave on the same day he told me to come back., instead of cleaning my boots he painted them they were wet with paint. and he charged me *39.00! I asked him why did he paint my boots. he wouldn't look at me he said there was a black spot. He told me previously that the black spot was nothing. . I told him the spot need to be cleaned. he ruin my *400.00 boot! He never try to clean my boots. he painted them at the last minute. Never go to Carman.Shoe repair in Chestnut Hill I regret.it If I come to Philadelphia this year. I'm taking him to court!

Carman's charged me $46 for ten minutes worth of stitching on a hand bag and $98 to refurbish another bag. When I took the pieces to another, local shoe repair person with rave reviews, I was told that the repairs should have cost me a total of $15 and that the bag had actually not been refurbished at all. Carman's refused to reimburse me for part of the $150 that I was charged and had no explanation as to why other repair people could not stand by his work. If you want to be robbed, go to Carman's.
