The Harbour is a community-based agency that provides essential services to homeless, runaway, locked out and neglected adolescent girls between the ages of 12 and 21. It offers services to people who are physically, emotionally, educationally and economically at risk in the north suburbs and northwest suburbs of Cook County, Ill. The agency is supported by a range of local municipal organizations and private donors, such as United Way, Chicago Community Trust, the Circle of Service Foundation, Kellogg School of Management, Park Ridge Community Fund, American Fluorescent Corporation and Home Depot Foundation Matching Gift Program. The Harbour, located in Park Ridge, Ill., supports transitional and independent living programs, as well as operates the Safe Harbour Emergency Shelter.
