This is absolutely the worst vet in Oklahoma. Took my dog there since I was referred there by my boyfriends friend. My dog was suffering from pyrometra and I told them she had all the symptoms, so after doing 300 worth of tests they determined that was the cause. They told us the surgery would be 1600 and we told them we could pay that the next day at 10 am if they would do the surgery so she wouldn't get more sick or pass away. But they was talking about the might have complications with her since she is a big dog if she gets off the table when having surgery they will just have to let her bleed out and die. REALLY? Than they was talking about euthanasia since they wouldn't work with us with payment in morning. All this vet and staff care about is money( as the vet drives a Tesla) and forget about the oath he had taken. But I found a vet that did it for 900 and worked with us. Brookwood is my new vet for life since they actually care about animals and just not the money .

I have been taking our pets to Ranchwood for our 30 years, but never again will I board my dog there. She is a large dog (60 pounds). We made our reservations two weeks in advance and got all the shots up to date. We were leaving our dog at Ranchwood for over ten days. We brought her bed, blanket and favorite toy as we generally do when leaving her. Upon our return, I went to pick her up.. While checking out, one of the pet attendants, ask me what her bed looked like? I said ,"what do you mean, it should be the one in the kennel." Oh, she said, "the bed didn't fit in the cage she was in." "Cage? what cage?" I then demanded to see. They had kept my dog in a small cage not big enough for her to roll over in for ten days. And to boot, they gave her tranquilizers (for which they charged me for) to keep her doped up in a cage not fit for a large cat. When I ask to speak to Dr. McNeal, they said he was busy, so I asked for him to call me - he never did. This is inhumane treatment.

Everyone at Ranchwood loves what they do. The doctors are great and the staff are wonderful. They care about your pet and you. They always go the extra mile. A fantastic place to board your Lil buddy and even get a bath. I recommend Ranchwood Veterinary.

I give this vet NO star. Not even 1/2 of one. Worst vet in Oklahoma. Mooooonnnnneeeeyyyyy HUNGRY! They dont care about your pets, just care about how much your pets can rack them up MONEY! I took my dog in for ears somewhat starting to bother him.. meaning a scratch to the ear, or a shaking of the head about every other week. By the time the first visit was over, the bill was over $175.00. Fine, I got him cheacked out and starting on some ear drops for a no longer of a bother, and happy, healthy puppy. WRONG!!!! NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER, THE EAR DROPS MADE HIS EARS A MILLON TRILLON TIMES WORST!!!!! HE WAS SCRATCHING NON-STOP SO HARD HIS EARS STARTED BLLEEDING, HE WAS NON-STOP SHAKING HIS EARS, AND NOW, SCOOTING ACOSS THE CARPET RUBBING AND DIGGING HIS EARS INTO THE FLOOR!!!! AND WHINNING! I called the vet and stated the ear drops are making his ears worst, they said bring him in asap! I did an hour later. After sitting in an empty (not one other customer in the office at time) exam room for 2 and half or longer wait, they came in put some gel (another med) in his ears, and stated they needed to check him out in another week. Okay, thats fine. Then, I simply thought they were calling me up to the front desk to get a re-check scheduled, WRONG... THEY WERE FORKING ME OVER ANOTHER BILL FOR OVER $115 BUCKS! I WAS LIKE, EXCUSE ME!??? I WAS JUST IN HERE LESS THEN A WEEK AGO, DONT I GET A DISCOUNT FOR YOU MI-DIAGNOSED MY PUPPY AND MAKING THE PROBLEM WORST INSTEAD OF BETTER? THE LADY JUST SAID, OH WE DID.. IT WAS $10. I AM LIKE ONLY $10!!!!! WHAT THE HECK!? I NEED TO TALK TO A MANAGER, ETC. THE HEAD DOCTOR - DR. RICK CAME OUT, AND I STATED, THAT I WAS JUST IN LESS THAN A WEEK AGO AND EXPLAINED THE WHOLE STORY. THEN ASKED THAT SHOULDNT I ONLY HAVE BEEN BILLED FOR THE NEW MED, NOT THE EXAM? HE SAID, NO. THEN HE RIFTED AND RAMBLED SOME NONSENSE ONTO, SO YOU DONT THINK MY TIME IS WORTH ANYTHING? AND I STATED THAT SINCE HE NEVER SAW MY DOG EITHER OF THE TIMES, I AM NOT AFTER HIM. PLUS, I TOO HAD TO GATHER MY DOG UP TWICE, AND TAKE TWO HALF DAYS FOR THIS ONE PROBLEM, I SHOULDNT BE PENALIZED EITHER. LONG STORY SHORT, HE WAS BEENING A JERK.. TELLING ME I NEED TO FIND A NEW VET (FINE, I WAS ALREADY THINKING IT), AND HE FELT GREAT RIPPING ME OFF THAT LAST $100 BUCKS. WHAT A SENSELESS HUMAN, AND HE'S SUPPOST TO BE IN THE BUISNESS FOR HELPING.. YEAH RIGHT, HELPING HIS POCKETS GET BIGGER. THEY LOVE TAGGING YOU FOR EVERY DOLLAR. RE-CHECKS COST YOU $$$$$$$$$$$$$ MONEY (EVEN IF IT THEIR FAULT). THEY ONLY LOVE TO MIS-DIAGNOSED TO GET PROBLEMS GROWING BIGGER, SO THEY CAN CHARGE YOU FOR MORE AND MORE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. OH.. AND YEAH, THIS IS THE SAME DOCTOR THAT STATED MY MALE DOG HAD A YEAST INFECTION ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO.. WHAT A LOAD. GOOD LUCK IF YOU EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE!

The staff is awesome and make you feel welcomed. Dr. McNeal really cares about the animals!! He will take the time to answer any and all questions. They are a little family there and treat everyone as family when you come through the door.

Best experience ever at a Veterinary hospital!!! From the begining to the end our experrience was great!!! The entire staff was knowledgeable and helpful. There was one employee named Alyssa that went above and beyond what we could have expected, I can't imagine a better place to get care for your animal. Our little 3lb dog is alive today because of the great care she recieved at Ranchwood.

Best vet ever!!! I'm so thankful to Dr. McNeal and the staff at Ranchwood. I took my cat to three other vets for GI issues but none of them helped us. Dr. McNeal diagnosed my cat with a rare metabolic disorder. It's very easy to treat but if left untreated my cat would not have lived a very long life. I'm happy to say that our kitty is happy and healthy now! We also have two dogs which we've boarded there. The staff is so knowledgable and friendly, and the boarding facilities are the cleanest I've seen - I've never had a bad experience!

I am a Grannie who loves her Grand Dogs and would highly recommend Ranchwood. I am actually from Texas and my son made a special trip to Oklahoma City because of the high recommendation of their above and beyond excellent services and care from their staff. My precious little Sophia is still with us thanks to the expertise and knowledge at Ranchwood. I still stay in contact with them and will forever be grateful for the help when we needed it the most. This by far the best veterinary clinic in the Metro. Doctor McNeil has always taken his time explaining everything to us and give us all the information so we could make informed decisions about our pets healthcare plans. His staff is also wonderful and has been so helpful with everything I’ve ever needed. I love that you can call after hours if you have an emergency. The boarding is also great! I know that when I drop my boys off because we are out of town, they will get attention and love just like they would at home. Grade A++ clinic!

I respectfully could not disagree with Lilly28 more. The people at Ranchwood were the most wonderful people one could ever wish for during the most devastating time in my life. At my wits end, I called Ranchwood at 6 am and they could not have been more helpful. They met me at the hospital shortly thereafter to help me try to save my beloved family member. Thoughout the last three months of my Samuel's life, they literally did everything humanly possible to help him and me. Ultimately, we lost the battle, but it certainly wasn't due to a lack of willingness to fight. The loss of family is a trying time for even the strongest person and I am a loss for words on exactly how these wonderful people helped me through it. I promise if I ever decide to take in another family member in, the folks at Ranchwood will be the ONLY medical professionals that will ever treat him/her while I am in Oklahoma City. To those professionals at Ranchwood, my sincere thank you will never appropriately explain my gratitude for all you did for Samuel and me.

This is THE BEST vet in town. I met Dr. McNeal last month after having to put my 15 year old dog to sleep. This was very painful for me, but he made me feel really good about the decision that was inevitable. I have since taken my two other dogs to see him and he and his staff are the most friendly and caring folks that anyone could ask for. This is the first review that I have ever posted, but I was compelled to do so because they really do treat me and my girls like family. Oh, and he showed me his facility and the whole thing runs on solar power. REALLY COOL. I'm not a tree hugger but I recycle, and it's good to know that they care about the environment as much as they care for my pets. GO HERE, YOU'RE ANIMALS WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT!

Worst vet hospital. Very unprofessional and fake. They really don't care about your animals the doctor just wants to make money. They are also way to over priced. What gets me is how fake the people that work there can be. Don't waste your time cause they sure did mine.

Ranchwood is, by far, the best veterinary hospital in the OKC metro. Dr. McNeal and Dr. Maness are excellent veterinarians and all around people to deal with. Both of them know so much about veterinary medicine and really do care about your pets as if they were their own. Anyone who complains about cost must not realize that for the level of care their pets receive and the number of employees Ranchwood has, they are cheap! (Not to mention, they are a BUSINESS and must make money to pay their employees and stay open! And as a business it is obvious why they cannot take in strays and perform free medical procedures. It hurts to see an animal in need and not being able to help, trust me, Ranchwood's staff feel the same way when they have to tell you no.) Trust me, if you are smart and value your pet's well-being, you should entrust your pet's health care to the wonderful people at Ranchwood!

I had a large dog that contracted cancer of the stomache. The doctor didn't run any tests or touch the dog when we told him the dog's syptoms the Vet blew it off as arthritus because the dog was 14. A week later we where on vacation when our dog quit eating, drinking, urninating, and deficating. We took him to the closest vet and he was correctly diagnosed with cancer at a stage that nothing could be done. Our dog has to be put to sleep in another state. We where told by the vet that correctly diagnosed our dog that if caught early enough that our dog could have lived. We had gone to Ranchwood four times to have our dog looked at and every time he was wrongly diagnosed. The vet that corrtectly diagnosed our dog said from what we told her when we first took our dog in to Ranchwood it was early enough that our dog could have been saved. I would Never recemmend this vetenary hospital to any one.
