It operates a psychiatric hospital for adults, as well as manages a medical facility for children under the age of 18. In addition, the department offers financial assistance for individuals in residential care facilities. The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services provides substance abuse education, transitional living and aftercare programs.
