When we came to Mr. Koor we had been forced into a legal skirmish with another party and we were not familiar with the law surrounding our issue. We had an initial consultation with him where he explained the legal process for this situation at a high level and what to expect in a worst case scenario.

We went on to hire Mr. Koor for his services and we are so lucky we did. He walked us through every step of the way. If that meant we wanted to slow down and do baby steps he did. Mr. Koor was extremely professional, patient and empathetic the entire way. He gave us direction and guidance for the best possible outcome.

With his vast experience he helped us through an extremely difficult situation. He spent much time even on his vacation to assist us through our situation. I will say lawyers aren't cheap for a reason. They can navigate waters most people can't. So you do need to budget for these type of services. All lawyers charge for any amount of work done be that in the office, over the phone, etc.

Suddarth and Koor gave me an estimate of the cost of getting my speeding ticket fixed. It was more reasonable than other places I had gotten quotes from, so I went with them. When I received the bill in the mail it was over $100 more than the estimate. When I called the office they told me that they 'never' quote estimates of tickets, even though I had based my decision of using their firm from the quote they gave me. I would be careful of using this law firm. If you get any sort of cost quotes make sure it is in writing.

I chose to use Mr Andrew Koor as my divorce lawyer back in 2005. I did not know how to really research lawyers for divorce purposes, but looking back I wish I had. I found Andrew Koor in the phonebook, and seen in his firm's add that he had "Over 20 years" as a lawyer. I thought this was good enough for me. I met him and gave him his retainer fee, and let him do his thing. After that I paid him what I could when I could, and he was ok with this - he was my lawyer for over six months.



I was a single mother at the time, on top of being a disabled veteran - I had barely enough money to keep food on the table. I brought this whole stressful ordeal to his attention. By this time we were barely a month from settling with my husband. I told him that I had no money to give him till the divorce was final. The guy said ok. I thought he understood my plight.



Boy was I surprised. Barely One Month shy of my divorce being settled, what does this guy do? Proceeds out of the wild blue sky serving me with paperwork stating that he could no longer serve as my attorney! He basically quit because he wasn't supposedly being paid like he wanted. I ended up having my husband's lawyer settling the deal instead.



This whole sneaky situation irked me so bad! Then on top of everything, Mr Koor insisted on being paid for phone/filing time he had not earned; he wanted me to pay for His personal time spent in filing His paperwork in order to quit as my legal representative! It became a nightmare with this guy!



In the end, I contacted another legal source, who said I was getting an extremely raw deal. I was then directed to contact the American Bar Association, which I did end up doing. I wrote to them in depth about Mr Koor; what he had done to me, and was trying to do. I had to make a formal complaint with the Bar before Koor let up on me and finally left me alone.



It goes without saying that I do not want this to happen to another person! I do not think the way this man treated me was fair. The moral of this story?! Think Twice and do your Research before you give ANY lawyer ANY amount of money! And as far as someone saying they have over "20 years" as a lawyer Does Not mean they are ethical in Any way! I hope this review might save someone a lot of trouble.
