I have never seen customer service like this in my life! I was looking for a very specific toy for my daughter's birthday. While the store didn't have it, the buyer requested I email her a picture of it so she could look for it at an upcoming toy show she was attending. Then she got back to me to say that the toy was no longer manufacturered. I thought that would be the end of it, but no! One of her co-workers followed up with me after doing an extensive search online herself and found the toy for me from a seller online! That is amazing customer service! I LOVE CGS and have shopped there for years and will continue to and would recommend it highly! It is THE premier children's shop for gifts on the north shore in terms of selection, unique products and outstanding customer service and personalized attention!

This is GRANDPARENT HEAVEN!And I have never found such good service anywhere ! I am way past the age where I remember what kids like at different stages. So it is a real godsend to go into a store and have people willing to take the time to show me what is age appropriate and what kids love. The choices were amazing for a small store (tucked behind Subway). The owner/former teacher has clearly cherry picked the best of the best. My daughter-in-law says the kids always love what I bring and the kids say I am the "COOL"grandmother. My grandchildren range in age from 6mos-16 and it is a one-stop shop for us. Parking is easy and they are open Sundays too. PLUS when they don't have it in stock they will help you find it somewhere else! Just like the old movie "Miracle on 34th Street" when Macys would send you to Gimbels if they did not have it.

Having heard about this store from several friends I found it tucked behind the Subway in the Northfield Village Center on Happ Rd.It is packed with toys, games, arts and crafts, books, party favors, all the good stuff, both classic and trendy for birth to tweens. The owner taught school and has very thoughtfully cherry-picked all the best lines for a really good mix. There is also a lot of custom product that is personalized by the owner, or sent out for monogramming (banks,frames,blankets,bibs,step stools,rocking chairs, etc...) . This is the place for a lot of toys with serious educational play value (and just plain fun). Even the workers told me they see something new every time they walk around. I had too many choices... They know a lot about kids books too, and were in the kids' book business for 25 years.It is very child and shopper friendly (OK to touch!), with free gift wrapping and shipping available anywhere in the USA. They are open 7 days a week, unusual for a small store,

I have shopped in this store for 3 1/2 years, and have found it to be the most well thought out selection of gifts, games, toys, (you name it) for my kids 3-12 that I have EVER SEEN! Open at 9 a.m., I often scoot in after dropping the kids off at school in the morning. The owner (she taught school and it shows) and the staff are eager to please and it is totally fun. The selection is mind boggling and someone has really worked hard picking the best of so many different companies!This kind of service and choice reflects the total dedication and hard work it takes to make a retail store work!
