I've used Brandywine kennels several times over the years and have always been well satisfied with the care given to my dogs. Due to the change of staff last year &the fact Brandy had reached the age of 15 and was going deaf I was apprehensive at having to leave her there for over 2 weeks while on vacation. I spoke to Sandy who assured me they would make every effort to keep her as comfortable as possible. My dog not a big eater needs coaxing to eat her food at home so that was another concern. I called often while away and Courney or Michelle were always willing to give me an update on her progress. After a couple of days she had settled down and the girls had managed to get her to eat. She was given regular exercise and seemed well and contented when I went to pick her up, Courtney had done a nice job on bathing her that morning,her coat looked great. I think Brandy had enjoyed being around other dogs and interracting with the staff. I definitely would n't hesitate to board her again

I have been boarding my dogs there for almost 8 years now... it is absolutley wonderful!!! They know my dogs inside and out. You can tell they know and care a lot about dogs. My dogs are so excited every time we begin down the driveway. They have always taken wonderful care of my dogs, and my pups just love staying there. I have three dogs, two very young, the other up in his senior years. When I first boarded there, I just had Dallas, my old man. He was 4 then. As he got older, they changed their care of him. He is now deaf, and they carry him inside and out (he's a beagle). Matter of fact, a couple of years ago, when I was picking them all up, Jim was the one who told me that he thought Dallas may be deaf and he informed me that Dallas was limping after he woke up. He suggested that I take him to the vet and see if an anit-inflammatory medicene could help him. I took him to the vet the next day and they told me he had arthritis. They started him on Rimadyl and he has been limp free since. What care and attention! Jim also trained my Lab, Lucious, and now, he is behaving wonderfully! I can take him anywhere and know he'll listen to me without fail! Never have a problem! Also, they now have an excellent groomer, and its so convenient to get them the "spa treatment" before they come home. Sometimes, I just bring them there to get some cleaning and pampering from Jane, (my schnauzer has never looked so good!). Well, I'm going on, all I have to say is 4 paws up! They are all awesome there and I will never leave my dogs under the care of anyone else! Thank You Brandywine Kennels for everything you do!

Great place to board your dog. Even open on weekends, and they have discounts for seniors (senior owners, not senior dogs).

Everyone there is wonderfull, and you can tell that they really love their job and your dog. It is out of the way for me, as I live on the other side of Petersburg, but it is the only place I will leave my dog.

I have been boarding at brandywine kennels for 3 years now and they are all great. they are open long hours 7-6pm which I find usefull, as I never know what traffic is going to be like getting my babies there and then when I travel back. Last year Buster one of my dogs needed medication and I was going to cancel my holiday, but brandywine looked after him as good as I could of and he was doing alot better when I got back. they also have a grooming facility which is great, now and again I get them bathed before I pick them up so they are all clean for me to take home. It a great clean & friendly place with big yards for the dogs to exercise. my dogs love it there.

STAY AWAY! The guy who runs this place is the rudest man I have even met. He declined to give us our dog because we were 2 minutes late picking our dog up. He yelled and cursed at my wife. We came back the next day and he took down the "Cash/Checks/Visa" sign and demanded that we had to pay with cash. Our dogs were severely matted after only staying here 3 days (3 days too long). Do yourself (and your pets) a huge favor and stay from this guy. We have filed a complaint with the BBB. TRUST ME, this is a true story!
