I just tried calling this number and FYI, this number has been disconnected! grrrrr!!!!

On October 23, 2014 I went to this office to get my name changed because I recently got married. It was so CROWDED that I was lucky to have found the last parking space on the road next to the road next to the social security office -_- from then on it just got worse. After waiting in there for about 20 minutes after taking my number, I decided It wasn't for me and went to the cop sitting at the desk to the right of the door. He informed me that I could leave my documents (MY LICENSE, MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, AND APPLICATION) in a sealed envelope with my name on it and will get it back within the same time frame (ONLY 7-10 business days). It is November 24th. I do not have my new social security card. Do not have my license. Do not have my marriage certificate back. It cost money for the certificate and will cost money to replace my license. I called the general number for help and they stated there was NOTHING EVEN PROCESSED. So essentially my documents have been LOST. IT HAS BEEN A MONTH IN REAL TIME, A WHOPPING 26 BUSINESS DAYS. I will be going up to this shithole office to either ask for my documents back with or without my new social security card OR compensation for the lost documents. They have cameras in the place so that is proof enough that I submitted them. I've been to a social security office in ALABAMA that was better than this one. Avoid!
