General Info
CHILDREN, INC The Centers were founded to offer high quality, state-of-the-art, multi-sensory tutorial instruction to children with disabilities in reading, writing, and related scholastic skills, a condition known as "dyslexia". Since its dedication in February, 2002, the Center has "graduated" 40 students at Celebrations of Achievement. We are very fortunate to have a Learning Center located at 529 Highland Avenue in Waterbury. The Center is currently working with 29 youngsters, with 12 more on the waitlist. The next Celebration of Achievement is scheduled for June 5, 2008 at 7: 00 PM at the Scottish Rite Center of Waterbury located next door at 531 Highland Ave. The Waterbury Center currently has 8 dedicated Certified Tutors and 4 Scholars (Tutors in training) working at the Center. If you have an interest in becoming a Tutor, please contact Mrs. Cheryl Sharkis, Center Director, at 203-365-0830 for requirements and information.
