      Located in New York City, Hamilton-Madison House is a voluntary, nonprofit settlement house that focuses on improving quality of life of its community. Established in 1898, the center develops and protects humane policies and programs. It offers social well-being services to children, elderly, handicapped, new immigrants, refugees and unemployed individuals. Hamilton-Madison House promotes understanding and cooperation among the ethnic groups and serves their specialized requirements. The center also encourages sharing of resources and responsibilities through active participation of various segments of the community. Its range of programs include adult education, behavioral health services, child care, senior citizens services, youth development and supported housing programs.
