General Info

Dr. Almanzar completed his residency training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Arnhold Institute in New York, where he earned degrees in psychiatry and Global Mental Health. He completed his medical training and graduated magna cum laude from the Universidad Autonomy of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2003. Dr. Almanzar has been board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as a clinical and forensic psychiatrist. He is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member of the American Medical Association, American Academic of Addiction Psychiatry and The American Academic of Psychiatry and the Law. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in reputable medical journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, the Journal of Psychosomatics, and the Journal of Annals of Global Health (formerly known as the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine).
