Ellwood Specialty Steel is a fully integrated manufacturer of a wide range of specialty steels. The company provides the tooling industry with a variety of tools, mold and die steel products. The end markets for these products include tools for plastic molding and extrusion, die casting, forging, aluminum extrusion and stamping industries. Other services offered by the company include grinding, milling, drilling, tapping and turning of steel. Ellwood Specialty Steel also comprises three other independent companies; Unisteel, Ellwood Specialty Metals and Walter Metals. The company has ISO 9002 certified manufacturing facilities. In addition, it is one of the nine business units of Ellwood Group (EGI), a privately held family-owned corporation.
