      The New Jersey Department of Human Services offers social, medical and skilled nursing services to children and their families. It serves individuals and families with low incomes, mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, and visual and hearing impairments. It offers child care services, support and health care programs. The department offers specialized services that include individual counseling, drug and alcohol prevention, juvenile probation, children s education and in-home parenting programs. It also offers special programs to children suffering from substance abuse, foster placement, psychiatric problems and parental separation. The department additionally organizes camps and school programs, group discussions, seminars and storytelling sessions. It is located in Trenton, N.J.
