      General Info
      Academy for Math, Engineering and Science (AMES) provides high school students in grades 9 through 12 with opportunities to extend their knowledge beyond the typical high school curriculum, in the areas of technology, math, science and engineering. Based in Salt City Lake, Utah, it is a public chartered high school with open enrollment to all students. The school s courses include integrated programs in math, science, technology, computer science and engineering as well as core classes in language arts, social studies and the arts. Academy for Math, Engineering and Science is recognized by the Utah State Board of Education, in partnership with Granite School District, Salt Lake City School District and the University of Utah. The school is also a member of the National Consortium of Specialized Secondary Schools in Math, Science and Technology (NCSSSMST).
