The staff who run this daycare have no knowledge of child development.
The owners are rude and do not interact well with the children or their parents. When you attempt to talk to them about concerns, they become down right belligerent.

I am so happy we sent our daughter to Little Big Steps. It is definitely the best preschool in Mountain Top. The staff are warm and friendly and genuinely care about my daughter as a person. The facility is clean, bright and cheery with lots of educationally stimulating toys. The most impressive thing, though, is how much my child has learned in the space of a year. She can actually read now (way before kindergarten) and I directly credit her teacher, Miss Ashley, for this. I am impressed daily with the lesson plans she implements. This is not a preschool that is more like a daycare, my daughter is actually learning a lot and will be more than prepared for kindergarten next year. We will miss them once she goes to school next year. I can only hope they are still around when it is our son's turn to go to preschool. I give this school my highest recommendation.

This facility is a clean, family-oriented establishment with a small teacher to child ratio. The owners and ALL the teachers are well educated people who are friendly and LOVE children. When you walk into Little Big Steps if feels like you are walking into a "home." Everyone gets to know one another and all the children become accustomed to all the teachers as well. All classrooms "teach" lessons according to a curriculum and the PA State Standards. It is a very hands-on facility. I love this facility and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an educational early learning center for their child!

Our daughter has been a student at LBS for the past 9 months. We absolutely love the staff and owners!



The facility follows the Keystone Stars curriculum and our daughter, who is only 2, has exceeded many of her peers in learning her alphabet, numbers, etc., has attended a reptile show, participated in parades and parties, and follows a daily schedule with learning centers and outdoor play. The center provides a monthly newsletter, menu, and activity calendar for each classroom! They also have parent meetings and seek suggestions/advice from parents throughout the year. In addition, they provide breakfast, lunch, and two snacks a day! The center truly goes above and beyond what is expected of a daycare/early childhood center.



We have had an opportunity to work with several teachers (Lindsey, Jeannie, Ashley, Jeanette, and Sarah) and they have been wonderful and positive influences on our daughter. In fact, we are certain that the center has been very selective in the teachers they choose to hire to work with their children (I choose the word their because they treat our daughter like she is one of their own). The owners have also been extremely accommodating with our requests (our daughter arrives early two days a week) and they have created a strong bond with her.



We previously attended another center prior to this experience and we were very unhappy. We have all positive things to say about LBS and would recommend the center without reservation.
