You are not alone. New Directions Domestic Abuse Shelter of Knox County in Mount Vernon offers shelter and a 24-hour hotline for rape survivors and abused women. We are honored to serve the community with assistance for victims of partner violence and their children. We provide services for physical, emotional, and sexual assault including date and acquaintance rape. Anyone who has suffered these abuses or has simply has questions about their personal situation is invited to visit or call us for confidential care. Whether you're confused, scared, and feeling hopeless, we can help. At New Directions, we are dedicated to effecting social change that encourages safe, equal, loving, and healthy relationships that are free of violence. We want to end domestic violence in all forms and help victims take the next steps toward healing. Although we are not miracle workers, we are experienced listeners, counselors, advisers, and friends. We can help you identify your options in life and move in the right direction.
