First time there.Went to get to female rats.Place is dumpy looking and the rats were stuff into glass cages.Didnt look healthy for them.My 2 girls are doing fine so far.I learned alot about my rats over the years and I just want the best for them and all pet rats.Thank-You

This is more like a mini zoo than a pet store. More than half the times I've been there for something they don't have it anymore. My daughter has experienced the same thing, so we've both just about gave up on this place. Even small popular items they don't have. I just called the other day to ask about a certain popular cat grooming supply & was told no they don't carry it. Didn't even bother asking if they could order it either!

We have bought used fish tanks and equipment, which have worked perfectly!...Good selecion of pet supplies. We adopted a dutch rabbit more than 3 years ago from here, and he is amazing!

Hoffers engages in deceptive business practices by quoting a retail price of an item over the phone only to say that the price is actually for a used item. We were quoted $10 for a 10 gallon fishtank but when we arrived at the store, the guy behind the checkout counter who took our phonecall said that their used tanks were $10 but their new ones were $20. He implied that it was our fault for not asking the cost of used tanks when we called them. Hoffers also has a no return policy with no exceptions, rare in todays retail environment. This, coupled with the fact that they charge so much more than similar pet supply stores. If you shop at Hoffers, be forewarned. There are better, more honest stores out there who will gladly return your money if you are dissatisfied with your purchase. Go to Hoffers to look, then make your purchase elsewhere.
