General Info: New Way House Moving is a family-owned business that was started in 1952. Serving the southeast US region, New Way raises structures, including houses, buildings, and portable facilities, for new foundations, bottom stories, and garages. In addition, New Way provides leveling and shoring services. New Way also moves or relocates structures. Besides being more environmentally friendly than demolition, buildings and homes are moved for various reasons. Sometimes landowners want a newer building built on their property and are willing to donate their old building. Other times a building might be moved for historical preservation purposes. Dangers, like a flood, could damage a building and can be prevented by raising it above the flood line.
