While serving in the U.S. Army, Stationed in Frankfurt Germany. I fell in love with street food. Quality was supreme and ethnic influences were abundant. One Roasted pork sandwich would always rise to the top of my taste bud cravings though. After returning to the U.S. it was clear that my beloved Pork sandwich was no more to be had, so I went to work reproducing it. I earned a culinary degree a...t Johnson and Wales College in Rhode Island and for Thirty years practiced the art of cooking in fine dining restaurants, Hotels to mom and pop small places and street food venues. In 1995, after refining the spice blend one last time. Rolli opened it's first Kiosk or mobile kitchen location in Richmond, Virginia. It was a huge success and the concept grew to three locations in four years. It is gratifying to have seen so many people express the same passion and excitement for this uniquely delicious sandwich. Funny, after all the fine cooking along the way, Nothing compares to a Rolli sandwich!
