An EXCELLENT dining experience. Food and service were wonderful. The short drive from Sycamore was well worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed their 6 oz. filet with the tastiest french fried shrimp ever. It did not need cocktail sauce or any other condiment. Each bite was so good! The filet mignon is always good and the coating on it let the taste of the filet come through as well. I highly recommend Sorrento's for fine dining and more. They have lots of room for big parties and lots of parking!Thank you Anita and Vincent for a wonderful meal.

DETAILS
General Info
Sorrento's Restaurant, began back in 1974, when Vince Palazzolo, then owner of a pizza place, wanted to get out of the pizza business and out of the city. Looking west he found a restaurant that was for sale named Kendall's Ranch. Kendall's Ranch had been a successful restaurant for over 30 years. Vince bought the restaurant and changed the name to Sorrento's Ranch. Sorrento's wasn't a success right off the bat with its heavy reliance to pastas and Italian dishes. Changes would have to be made to survive. Vince saw that the largest selling and most popular item on the menu was the prime rib. Then, Sorrento's slowly turned from an Italian restaurant to an Italian steakhouse restaurant adding many of the steaks, seafood and chicken dishes we have today. Word began to spread. Business began to thrive. His son, Frank and his daughter Anita, joined the restaurant to help with the increase of business. Throughout the next 30 years many other restaurants have opened and closed and tastes of the consumer have changed, but Sorrento's Restaurant has remained open throughout it all. We have you, the customers, to thank for that. Because of that, we pledge to continue doing what we have done for so many years. Sorrento's Restaurant believes in giving our customers a great meal at a great price and we will continue that pledge.
