      Founded in 1991, Families in Transition is a nonprofit agency that provides safe and affordable housing options for homeless individuals. It offers various services in the areas of career, education and personal growth. The agency provides a range of clinical services, including counseling, case management, health care, parenting, budget management, employment, housing and referrals. Families in Transition administers the Employment and Training Program, which includes computer courses, employment support, career development and GED tutoring services. The agency also offers several youth programs. Additionally, it operates the Family Outfitters Thrift Store, which sells a variety of furniture, houseware and clothing items.
