Started in 1921, Springfield Wire offers an extensive line of custom designed heating elements for the world's major appliance manufacturers, commercial refrigeration equipment manufacturers, food service equipment suppliers, the industrial process heating industry and automotive and truck companies. Its facilities for research and development have resulted in the continued production of new and improved ways to meet the market challenges of the industries it serves. Springfield has three manufacturing facilities. Its main plant is located in Springfield, Md., and is certified to ISO 9001:2000. Its second plant is located in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and is certified to ISO 9002. These two plants utilize statistical process control procedures to track and control the quality of the elements the company produces. Its third facility is located in Humen Town, Dong Guan City, Gaung Dong Province, in the Peoples Republic of China.
