      S.Y. Bancorp is a Kentucky-based bank holding company, formed in 1988 as the parent company of Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company. Stock Yards was established in 1904 and has more than $1 billion in total assets. It serves the greater Louisville, Ky., area, with branches in Louisville and southern Indiana. The bank also has a branch in Indianapolis. In addition to its banking operations, Stock Yards offers an array of other financial services, such as a wealth management group that provides investment management and trust services. The bank also offers private banking and brokerage services. S.Y. Bancorp is also the parent company of S.Y. Bancorp Capital Trust I, a Delaware statutory business that is a 100 percent-owned finance subsidiary. S.Y. Bancorp is headquartered in Louisville.
