The Fulkerson Law Firm LLC, formerly Fulkerson Elder Law LLC, is a Liberty, Missouri law firm that practices exclusively in the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law and Special Needs Planning. We work with individuals and couples of all ages to properly plan their estates to limit probate, leave an inheritance to a surviving spouse or child in the most effective way possible and properly nominate attorneys-in-fact and health care agents for themselves and guardians for their children. We utilize Revocable Living Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Childrens’ Protection Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Last Wills and other estate planning tools. We regularly work with individuals and couples facing the overwhelming prospect of long-term nursing home care and seeking information and direction on how to obtain the care they or their loved ones need without losing all of their assets or impoverishing the spouse still living at home. We counsel and assist clients on meeting the eligibility requirements for Medicaid nursing home benefits and prepare and oversee the application for benefits. Attorney Brett Fulkerson has been a lawyer for over twenty years and is a former Visiting Professor of Law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. He serves on the Board of Directors of Life Unlimited, a non-profit organization that serves individuals with developmental disabilities in Clay, Platte and Jackson Counties and serves on the Church Council of Liberty United Methodist Church.
