I just had my Shih Tzu groomed by Rachel and she did an AMAZING job!! Pricing was very fair and my little girl looks great!! Highly recommend!

I am very happy to give as many kudos to Lewiston Animal Hospital as I can, so you may read this review elsewhere, too. :)

The staff here is excellent and what keeps me coming back. I'm especially happy now with Drs. Spence and Stewart at the helm. Dr. Spence is the one I've had as main caregiver in recent times, and she has a wonderful bedside manner – I felt comfortable asking as many questions as I needed to, and felt that I got excellent guidance and advice from her as we treated our cat Nico for a sudden decline in health. When the day came that we had to say goodbye to Nico, I was talked through the painful process carefully and thoroughly, and always had someone there to comfort me if I wanted it. Here I would like to give a special shout out to Dixie and the two Renees, with whom I had the most contact with during this painful time.

All that said, during less difficult times they have provided great service and I can't think of a time I haven't been able to get a quick appointment, and their hours are convenient to those who work day jobs. Veterinary care is expensive in general, and I don't think that their care is any more costly than many places. Even if it is – maybe it is, I don't know – I think for the kind of care we get here makes it entirely worth it. I will keep coming back as long as this team is in place.

I would not recommend this office for anyone. I can say that currntly they have a vet on staff that has had his license revoked in Canada. They don't tell you this. I wish with my whole heart that I had researched this office before entrusting the care and ultimately the live of my beloved Brutus. He was diagnosed with Melanoma in Marach 2012 and passed away on September 14, 2012. The vet told me after the first surgery that Melanoma is not fatal in canines and it was benign. Even after the 2nd surgery, I was not informed that this was Malignant. All they wanted was money. They do not care about the animals or the families.

Please do your research ---- this office is also tied to several other offices such as Grand Island, Harris Hill and Wheatfiled.

Don't pay any attention to the reviews on this site that were written before 2014. This practice has gone through about 6 vets in two years and they've all been awful. Money is their only goal. They will prescribe expensive and unnecessary medication and focus only on what you say the problem is. They won't examine the whole animal for underlying causes or other problems untrained people can't see.

I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Honeysett for years and have had nothing but the best care for my pets and the most courteous and pleasant treatment for me from him. He is absolutely wonderful with one of my cats who is very skittish and nervous but who responds really well to him. He has saved her life and recommended less expensive ways of treatment for her on at least one occasion. He is also fantastic with my very large German Shepherd and my other cat. The office staff there are also extremely polite and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend this vet to anyone.
