While waiting for my appointment with Dr. Priscilla Mercado, I received a text message telling me I had an emergency and needed to leave. I informed the receptionist that I had to leave, but was willing to pay the copayment. She told me that I would be required to pay a cancelation charge and the copayment. I asked why would I be required to pay both. If I pay the copayment, that should take care of canceling because I had shown up and the doctor was 20 mins late. The receptionist became extremely nasty and rude. She told me "we're going to refuse to service you". This was my first time going to this doctor, but I would never make an appointment with them again. I told the receptionist that I was glad that I did not invest my time being seen, and she told me she was glad they didn't have to treat people like me. The receptionist was so nasty, she made it seem like the doctor was desperate for every dollar they could get. Horrible professionalism, manners, and customer service. I would highly recommend avoiding this location.
