      Established in 1984, the Northeastern Eye Institute is one of the leading providers of eye care services in northeastern Pennsylvania. The institute offers medical and surgical services for the treatment of eye conditions and vision impairments. It provides services for cataracts, cornea and retina conditions and glaucoma. The Northeastern Eye Institute also operates on-site, full-service optical departments that offer glasses, frames and contact lenses. The institute serves patients in Scranton, Hazelton and Lackawanna counties in Pennsylvania. It provides a range of diagnostic tests during examinations. The institute offers laser correction for farsightedness, as well as conductive keratoplasty for near vision disorders. It includes an ambulatory surgery center that is equipped with operating rooms for eye surgical procedures. The Northeastern Eye Institute maintains a location in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
