I saw Dr. Edelstein back on March 7th, 2023 on an emergency basis. I woke up that morning almost completely blind in my left eye. I thought perhaps I had a retinal tear. Dr. Edelstein saw me immediately, determined that was not the case, but referred me to the excellent Dr. Wald in FH. After hours of testing, procedures, and examinations at Tisch and elsewhere, it was determined I have the dreadful Giant Cell Arteritis. It is a devastating disease. If it had not been for Dr. Edelstein, his quick thinking, and assessment, I might have lost the sight in my other eye. He was extremely kind, patient, and reassuring as well, of course, as well as very competent. Bedside manner seems to have become a lost art what with the pandemic. But Dr. Edelstein embodies that very necessary quality in a doctor. Many thanks to Dr. Eldelstein from a grateful patient.

Dr. Edelstein is truly a gem. It is extremely rare to find a doctor of his skill and stature who is so caring to his patients. He performed my wife's cataract surgery and she was absolutely thrilled with the results and the entire experience.
