Plato's Closet is THE place to go if you are looking for affordable prices on current style, name brand clothing! Seriously, 80% of my closet is from Plato's.. and I rest easy knowing I spent less than half of what anyone else would who shops at the mall! :)
As for the "buying process," bring in one shirt, you'll make $1-$4 (depending on brand and type of shirt), but bring in lots of clothes that fit their criteria and you can make $100-$300 (I have actually made $175 just from one stop). They tend to be picky on "style, brand, and condition" of the clothing that they are able to take, but I will never take that personally, obviously the employees are doing as instructed and the store has to be reasonably picky to make sure the clothes that they pay you cash for will sell. The process of selling clothes is soooo simple and a lot easier than trying to sell your unwanted clothes online. But hey, if you are willing to go through the online process to gain a couple extra bucks, more power to you!
In my own experience, the customer service is amazing and everyone that works there or has worked there in the past have been nothing but kind and helpful to me. If I could rate Plato's a 5 stars 100 times, I would!

I read the reviews here before I went to Platos in Kennewick and almost didn't go. Thank God I did!! I talked with four ladies while I was there, and EVERY one of them was very friendly! I received a text when they were done looking through the clothes I was selling, and was pleasantly surprised on how fair they were! There were only a few items that they didn't buy..and they explained to me that they just weren't the right style. I will definitely go there again, and highly recommend the Kennewick store.

Ive been to a few platos closets in Arizona when I lived there, I came here and discovered there was one so I checked it out and it wasn't bad. I found some good buys there. It definitely wasn't like the ones in AZ , but I still would go back to buy more.

The service there was very bad. They didnt greet you nor do they have a very positive attitude when you are in the store or need help from them. When you bring in clothes to sell they tell you it will take 20 minutes though when I was watching from a far the gal didnt even look at the clothes just grabbed and tossed them aside and only grabbed one article of clothing. When I looked at the selection my clothes were in better shape and better condition than the ones for sale. The prices were the same as if you were to buy them brand new at the stores they came from. When I came back to the desk they offered me a few bucks for one article of clothing and said the others were out of style or too worn. Not a place I would tell poeple to go to on saving money for clothes or selling used clothes.

I have been to Platos Closet in several different citys (particularly the one in Boise, Idaho where I used to live) and have always enjoyed both buying and selling my clothes there. Unfortunately the Platos closet in Richland, WA is not up to par. The selection of clothes isn't great but my biggest beef is with the staff. Everytime I have been there they have been extremely rude. There is a young man inparticular that seems high everytime I have been in there and is EXTREMELY rude. I will no longer or buy or sell to Platos closet in Richland, WA.
