Doctor Thakur graduated from The University of Gujarat, India. She was awarded Twelve medals, The Pfizer Gold Metal and The Presidents Metal all for having the highest grades in India. Doctor Thakur did her General Surgery Residency in Montefore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. From 1996 to 1999. Graduated from The Plastic Surgery Program at Montefore in 2001.
