      General Info
      Gene Watts (1939-2015) Founder Gene is a Breathitt County KY native and was born and raised at Lost Creek. Gene is married to Mrytle Watts and together they have two daughters, a son, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. After high school Gene furthered his education at the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville, KY. Gene has served in the U.S. Army and is certified in Civil Defense and Advanced Course in American Red Cross for the Injured. Gene was recognized for his help and services in the 1959 Floyd County school bus crash and recieved a Medal of Merit from the government. Gene opened Watts Funeral Home July of 1968, he served as Breathitt County Coroner for 5 years and worked in the Coroner's office for 20 years and won Breathitt County Business Award in 2008 and continues to serve Breathitt and the surrounding areas. Gene is a member of the Funeral Directors and Association of Kentucky and strives to maintain a respectable family owned business. Jordan Watts Funeral Director Jordan is the 24 year old grandson of Gene Watts and son of Randy Watts. Jordan is a native to Breathitt County and was a 2007 graduate of Jackson City School. Jordan joined the family business after high school and became a certfied funeral director by Kentucky Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. Jordan strives to meet all the familes needs in their time of grieving.
