Great place! Discovered that they were down the street from where I live and lots of options for hot tubs and for custom pools. Will be returning!

Richards renovated our backyard this past summer and it has been amazing ever since! It survived Hurricane Harvey and we truly enjoy our backyard space Year-round! Their pool showroom is gorgoesus and gave us so many choices to choose the perfect materials for our backyard. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Even if there was a bump in the road during the project, the RTBS team always found a solution for us! Our family highly recommends this company.

NOT honest. Charged $169 for an estimate to repair hot springs sovereign spa bought from them. Written estimate was for approximatey $1,390 A week later the repairman was here 8 minutes and informed us that it will cost about double his estimate. He also swiped our items and falsely claimed to install new filters and parts which on video shows that he never took any parts off of his vehicle. A prior experience with Richard's had us on alert because a dangerous male named "Willy" from their company tried to rob us after he was found passed out dead drunk laid out in our yard with open dry botlles of cheap wine. HPD hauled him off.

Rodney, a very young frightening male moved around in our yard to instill fear in the elderly ( we are nearing 70 ) and he was holding onto his cell phone talking in a language that was "ghetto-style" moving about in a manner consistant with trying to scare us.

RODNEY, upon checking ..... HAS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND and this company has a track record / history of hiring shady men with no background check.

WE ARE BLESSED THAT WE WERE NOT HURT - THIS COMPANY IS A THREAT TO THE COMMUNITY AND OPERATES WITH INTENT TO DO WRONG.

Now, they call and email demanding more money for driving out here to get the part he never took off of his vehicle. Was on his smartphone the entire 8 minutes he was here.

This company "claims" to have been in business for 28 years but Yelp shows only 2 reviews of which ours is one - and this is a review and also notification of a criminal operation. The claims that we owe them a dime is merely a "smoke screen"n to divert attention from their criminal activities. The company is truly a menace to the community and home owners. We paid them over $10,000 for a worthless spa, and during our attempts to get service we enountered nothing but a series of elder crimes / exploitation of the elderly/disabled.

We reported to HPD and BBB - and shall follow up with a suit here in precinct four of Harris County to seek legal remedy.

I'm in the process of building a pool. I signed my contract 7 months ago and prepaid 90% of the contract price to build the pool as of today. If I could start over, I would hire another company. Richard's will take you money and send their crew to work other jobs. If you hire Richards, do not sign the standard contract or you'll be in the same boat as I'm in. My house is wreck and has been for the last Month. Ive lost all confidence in their commitment to build my pool.

I needed service recently on the pump/motor of my pool. I called for a service appointment and was assigned a service tech named "J.T." He made sure to call me on his way to my house and, once there, diagnosed the problem quickly and efficiently. He also made sure I was informed as to what was wrong, what needed to be replaced, how long it would take and most important the cost (i.e. what was covered in the warranty). He did a great job with the repair/replacement of the motor, taking as much time as was needed to correct the problem. He was also polite, helpful and very focused on the job he was there to complete. I will definitely request "J.T." as my pool tech if any future problems arise with my pool. It was such a refreshing change to have to deal with a "customer service" issue in a very positive way.

It is my opinion that if you want Richards pools to do something you must get it in writing very specificly. They reworked my pool this summer. It took them 4 months but they were only on site about 10 days. I believe they did what the contract stated they would do but unfortunately the contract did not specify quality nor time frame. It also did not cover collateral damage. I would not use them again at any price but the job was done to the letter of the contract only.

Not worth the trouble

The pool was constructed in time and during construction they were very friendly. However, after they received the final payment during the last stages of the pool construction the service went downhill fast. Many promises were made in that nice show room of theirs which were never met. There were many problems and no one to respond to them. The project manager stopped responding to phone calls or returning message all together. It is still just a real mess. Its not worth spending so much money on a pool and then having problems and the pool not functioning properly on a daily basis. If I knew this before hand I would have went with another pool company for sure.
