I cant not say enough about the kindness n compassion this clinic showed to our family n my lil fur baby when it came time to cross that rainbow bridge....

We got a dog last week, a stray who at the time was sick but we didn't know it until about 3 days later. He was in bad shape & we rushed him to the clinic. He was put in the hospital & we were told a foreign object was blocking his intestines. That night around midnight, I was told he was progressing a bit. The vomiting stopped. By the next morning he was declining & moved to critical care. The surgery was going to cost $3000 but he wasn't a candidate for surgery since he was so ill & underweight. A couple hours later we were told he had an infection, not a foreign object, that they didn't have a name for so they wanted $500 upfront for more testing just to determine the cause. We set up an arrangement & from going back & forth that day if he's better, he's worse- I was advised to put him down. This was still Friday. Come Sunday we get a call that he's still stable I thought he was already gone so I'm confused. They say they're still concerned about this foreign object- the one that I was told was a mistake & wasn't there. Anyway, he's suffering & probably won't progress. At this point we go in to finalize everything again, the second time so he can be at peace. Come Monday night on my way into work, they call me & tell me he's 100% recovered & the bill is now outrageous but they'll waive it all if we sign him over to a tech that works there & wanted him. We went through his 'death' twice & we were lied to & led on from the start. I feel that they did this little by little to detach him from us & jacked up the price as get us to give him to her. The money put in already is still gone. We went in to see him & he still wasn't well, like they claimed but he was much better. By this point I decided to be selfless & let her have him because they had my hands tied. They stole our pup. Stay away from Hobart animal clinic

2/17/2013 We have been clients of the Hobart Animal Clinic for over 13 years. We have always been pleased with the care that our pets have been given. We have adopted several dogs and a cat that have been to the clinic. Many of them were adopted with health issues or eventually had issues, such as a bullea in the lung, hip displaysia, hernia, heartworm positive, worms, allergies, cancer, torn ligaments, hypothyroidism, urinary incontenence, and skin conditions. The vets were always compassionate and if they were not equipt to treat our pet they referred us to a vet that could give treatment. We have recommended Hobart Animal Clinic to several family members and friends.

We have been going to Hobart Animal Clinic for years and have never had bad experience. We love all of the doctors there especially Drs. Thompson and Javorka. We all take our dogs there for boarding and they love going there :)

We have been visitors to the Hobart Animal Clinic since we were youngsters and first had pets and have watched this clinic grow to become the only place we will take our pets for anything from their vacinations to broken bones or anything else they need to remain healthy. The new facility is really nice and the equipment is up to date with very well trained Vets running the place. We believe that the folks that work there are some of the most dedicated we have ever met in the field and have always been treated with care and consideration by everyone. We have also used the boarding facilities which are really nice and had grooming done there and will continue to that also. Prices are good and the help is wonderful! George Hrnjak Portage, IN

My boyfriend and I took our kitten into this clinic and we're appalled with the treatment received by us and our pet. They were insensitive, and were vague with information both before and after getting our kitten spayed. They said she would be ready at 3 pm and we waited 45 minutes to hear anything. An hour after being home, we took her back because of swelling and found out they were too stupid to do the sutures right and she now has a hernia and has to stay overnight to have the sutures redone. IF YOU ARE AN ANIMAL LOVER/PET OWNER AVOID THIS VET AT ALL COSTS! I can't believe we let our kitten be subjected to their idiocy.

Nothing but awful experiences for myself amd my dogs. Every time my small goes in she gets hurt when they take her back and they don't even tell me what happened. Just today I took them in and she was hurt yhey failed to even mention it, I told them about a problem another dog of mine is having they didn't check her out or say anything and she has some sort of growth I inquired about the lady responded with oh well she's old so it probably isn't worth your time or money she was very insensitive and I think I'll be the one to decide how I spend my money. In my opinion I've never had anyone speak to me that insensitive. I will no longer be taking my animals there they all hate the doctors there and especially the groomers. My puppy is TERRIFIED to go there. I just wanted to let everyone know if you're looking for quality care choose somewhere else.

Exceptional veterinary service. I took my Doberman there to get his vaccinations and to get his ears cropped. The staff are nice and Dr. Ed Javorka did phenomenal job on my dobes ears. Oh yeah..., affordable too!

I live in Chicago and drive to the Hobart Animal Clinic to see Dr. Keeker. He has done an amazing job iwth my cocker spaniel who has required several surgeries. The prices are 1/3 of what they charge in the city and everyone who have dealt with - from Dr. Keeker to the vet techs - has been extremely nice, knowledgeable and caring about my pet. I would highly recommend them!

For the most part, they are good. They will work with "problem" dogs. However, I did lose a dog to leptospirosis through a mistake by a vet there. Regular vet went on vacation & substitute vet insisted on vaccinating my dog when she should have still been on second round of antibiotics. The dog had to be put to sleep as she was dying. Titers indicated a spike in the lepto. that caused her illness and death. The vets are still good with the dogs. As for owing money, I've always paid up front so I don't know about treatment. Their rates are still competitive with any other vet clinic. I am pretty satisfied with them for my dogs and cats. Record keeping has its glitches but not outrageous. They ARE moving to a new building and they are all excited about it. Hopefully they won't change unless it's for the better.
