My family and i have been going to the Hickory Tap Room for 8 years and it's one of our favorite places. We always get excellent service from the wait staff, but on occasion the food comes out a bit slow. The food is very tasty! Their french fries are made into chips and are amazing. Get the beer cheese sauce with them. Soooo good! They have a variety of food to choose from. Hummus, black bean burgers, beef burgers, fish & chips, soups, salads, and sooo much more! You'll love it!

Came in for dinner. Waited for over 20 minutes. No one came even remotely close to offering a glass of water never mind waiting on us. Never setting foot there again.

this isn't where you want to go. good is sub part for bar good and the disinterest / slowness of the service is unlike anything I have EVER experienced. SUCKS

This is definitely a local favorite, especially on weekends when they have live music and no cover charge. I love the beers on tap - it's my one (affordable) indulgence. The food is pretty good - better than the average bar/restaurant (where you get overcooked burgers and soggy fries). No pasta on the menu, other than the ocassional special, but lots of warm sandwiches, steaks, a few fish items and the obligatory fried appetizers (the fried oysters are really good though). I really love the side items as my veggie boyfriend can make an entire dinner out of them. Service varies - awesome at the bar, and usually pretty good elsewhere. It can get iffy on busy nights though. But really the atmosphere, local nature, and the beers on tap make it a 5 (well, 4.5) for me.

The tap room freakin rocks! So does Mike, he makes the best sandwiches ever! Everyone should go to the tap room! We should all just live there. But Rick's not cool!
